This guide gives a simple overview of how weapons and armor scale on this server.
It is not a full list of items and it does not reveal exact spawn locations.
The goal is to help you understand what different tiers are capable of and what to expect in a fight.
Armor Tiers
Armor on this server goes beyond vanilla DayZ.
The vanilla Plate Carrier is used as the reference point for everything else.
Vanilla Plate Carrier
- Projectile Protection: Level 6
- Melee Protection: Level 6
- Infected Protection: Level 6
- Grenade Protection: Level 4
This is the best armor available in vanilla and represents basic endgame protection.
TT and JPC Plate Carriers
- Projectile Protection: Level 6
- Melee Protection: Level 8
- Infected Protection: Level 8
- Grenade Protection: Level 4
These vests offer the same bullet protection as vanilla, but perform better in close combat and against infected.
They are a solid upgrade for players moving into more dangerous areas.
MK3 Vest
- Projectile Protection: Level 10
- Melee Protection: Level 8
- Infected Protection: Level 8
- Grenade Protection: Level 4
The MK3 is where armor starts to noticeably change PvP encounters.
It can absorb much more bullet damage and often allows you to survive shots that would otherwise be fatal.
MKV Armor
- Projectile Protection: Level 15
- Melee Protection: Level 10
- Infected Protection: Level 10
- Grenade Protection: Level 5
This is the strongest armor available on the server.
It offers the highest survivability but is extremely rare and always contested.
Wearing MKV does not make you immune, but it gives you a major advantage in prolonged fights.
Weapon Caliber Tiers
Weapon strength depends heavily on caliber.
As calibers increase, armor becomes more important but never guarantees safety.
Standard High Power Rifles
Includes 308 and 7.62x51.
These calibers are very effective against lightly armored players.
Against higher tier armor, shot placement and follow up shots become critical.
338 Caliber
This is the strongest conventional caliber on the server.
Damage vs Armor:
- TT and JPC: 81 damage
- MK3: 54 damage
- MKV: 35 damage
The difference armor makes at this tier is significant.
A well armored player can survive hits that would instantly kill others.
12.7x55 Caliber
This caliber sits between 338 and the extreme endgame weapons.
Damage vs Armor:
- TT and JPC: Lethal
- MK3: 70 damage
- MKV: 46 damage
Lower tier armor offers no protection here.
High tier armor can absorb a single hit, but surviving repeated shots is unlikely.
408 and 50 Caliber
These are the most powerful weapons on the server.
Damage vs Armor:
- All armor types: Lethal
These calibers ignore armor entirely.
If you are hit, you die.
Their rarity and power make them some of the most dangerous tools in the game.
Final Notes
Better armor increases your chances, not your safety.
High tier weapons and gear attract attention and PvP.
Good positioning, awareness, and teamwork matter more than any vest or rifle.
Endgame gear raises the stakes, it does not remove the risk.
