This guide explains how vehicles work on EndPoint Games.
The server uses custom vehicles only. Vanilla vehicles are not used.
Everything below reflects the actual mechanics and limits on the server.
Vehicle Parts and Requirements
All vehicles spawn fully assembled.
Most parts cannot be removed or found in the world.
The only removable and findable parts are:
- Radiators
- Spark Plugs
- Car Batteries, Truck Batteries, Helicopter Power Module
These parts are required to operate vehicles.
Radiators
Radiators must be filled with water every time they are installed in a vehicle.
Batteries
Batteries drain over time whenever the engine is started. They can be recharged using battery chargers.
Fuel
All vehicles require fuel to operate.
You can refuel:
- With containers
- Or directly at gas stations
When at a gas station, you can refuel without a container by looking at the fuel port of the vehicle. You need to be very close to the pump.
Operation
Cars can be driven using WASD.
You can switch between first and third person view using the numpad Enter key or V.
This applies to all vehicles.
You can also listen to DRM Free music through Tapes obtainable around the map by pressing K and increase or decrease the volume with +/- on Numpad.
Transmission controls:
- Q shifts down
- E shifts up
Driving controls:
- Shift increases speed
- Space bar applies hard braking
- R puts the vehicle in reverse
- N puts the vehicle in neutral
Neutral allows the engine to keep running when exiting the vehicle.
Repairs and Maintenance
Vehicle engines and chassis can be repaired using a blowtorch, unless they are ruined.
All other vehicle parts can be repaired using a modded pipe wrench.
The pipe wrench replaces all parts of the vehicle, including missing ones, with brand new parts.
Never waste a pipe wrench in a ruined vehicle. It will not replace any parts.
Helicopters
Helicopters are fully custom.
Operating requirements:
- Helicopter Power Module
- Fuel
Helicopters can be controlled from either front seat.
Both front seat occupants can take control at any time.
We strongly recommend flying from one side only.
If the main pilot dies, the other front seat occupant can safely take over.
Basic controls:
- Ascend with Shift
- Descend with Z
- Pitch down with W
- Rotate left or right while hovering with Q and E
- Turn using A and D
If the helicopter controls are not visible when you enter, press and hold X.
Lights can be turned on using the cockpit panel buttons, provided light bulbs are installed.
Helicopters can be refueled the same way as cars.
You can place them on top of gas station hangers and refuel by looking at the fuel port.
You can also listen to DRM Free music through Tapes obtainable around the map by pressing K and increase or decrease the volume with +/- on Numpad.
Helicopters:
- Do not take damage from terrain collisions
- Do not take bullet damage when no driver is inside
This is intentional to prevent griefing.
Helicopters are loud by design.
Use the earplug system to protect your hearing.
Press N to activate earplugs
Use - or + (not numpad) to adjust volume
Press N again to remove earplugs.
You can switch between first and third person view using the numpad Enter key.
This applies to all vehicles.
Crash and restart protection is enabled for helicopters.
If your client crashes or the server restarts while flying, the system will safely land you to the ground.
If a helicopter is running with no driver inside, the engine will shut off and the helicopter will fall to the ground.
It may land in a different location from where you end up relogging.
If the helicopter lands on a tree, cut down the surrounding trees and it will fall to the ground.
Boats
The server also includes a limited number of vanilla boats.
They are intended for coastal travel and exploration.
If you want to cruise the high seas, boats are available and fully usable.
You can switch between first and third person view using the numpad Enter key.
This applies to all vehicles.
Vehicle Behavior
Vehicles:
- Do not take damage from terrain collisions
- Are not reset by server restarts
Vehicles are periodically deleted by the server team to rebalance distribution.
Vehicle Limits and Storage
You may have:
- Up to 1 vehicles under your flag, this includes helicopters and cars.
An automated system checks vehicles under your flag and will notify you.
If the limit is exceeded, and you ignore the warning a random vehicle will be deleted.
Vehicles may be stashed outside bases, but they must be:
- At least 1100 meters away from your base
Vehicles cannot currently be locked.
This may change in the future.
Vehicles cannot be covered.
Cars have significantly more storage space than helicopters.
This is intentional and will not be changed.
Virtual Garage
To store your vehicles we have available a virtual garage system.
You need to find around the map a virtual garage kit and deploy it into your base.
It supports up to 10 parking space.
- Cars take 1 parking space
- Helicopters take 3 parking space
It can be protected with 6 digit code and it can only be breached with a special tool called Garage Hacking Tool
Vehicle Recovery and Flipping
Cars can be flipped using a modded wrench.
Helicopters can be flipped on the spot using:
- A or D keys
Vehicle Security
Vehicles must be protected by players.
Unattended vehicles are considered fair game.
Plan storage carefully and do not exceed vehicle limits.
Disclaimer
Modded vehicles can sometimes behave unexpectedly.
We are not responsible for any loss of items stored inside vehicles, or for the loss of a vehicle due to driving behavior, glitches, or server restarts.
Do not expect refunds and do not contact staff regarding vehicle losses.
Final Notes
Vehicles are powerful tools, not permanent assets.
They enable movement, logistics, and PvP, but require planning and upkeep.
Learn the systems, respect the limits, and protect what you own.
